Naša koleginica, Marija Todorović, predavač, šefica studentske službe VŠJ Novi Sad, i odgovorno lice na ICEPS-u za nabavku medicinskih lutaka, opreme i materijala, kao i podršku nastavnom osoblju pri izvođenju kabinetske prakse, imala je priliku da u periodu od 03.03.2024. do 09.03.2024. godine boravi u Oslu u Norveškoj, na partnerskoj instituciji ICEPS-a, Oslo Metropolitan University na Erazmus+ mobilnosti osoblja u svrhu pohađanja obuke.

Veliku ulogu u ostvarivanju ove mobilnost imao je Marko Stojiljković, asistent na Fakultetu zdravstvenih nauka, na kom je Marija i boravila, a koji nas je posetio prošle godine radi razmene iskustava pri upotrebi medicinskih lutki u obrazovanju budućih medicinskih radnika sa posebnim naglaskom na buduće medicinske sestre i razvijanja Erazmus+ saradnje između ove dve ustanove.

Kroz Markovo mentorstvo i prisustvo nastavi iz predmeta „Metode simulacije“ Marija je imala priliku da ostvari uvid u najsavremenije pedagoške metode u obrazovanju medicinskih sestara, a koje podrazumevaju upotrebu medicinskih lutki i druge opreme kojima se simuliraju realne situacije koje studenti treba samostalno da rešavaju upotrebljavajući znanje i smernice dobijene od mentora.

„Značajno iskustvo mi je pružilo pohađanje predmeta „Metode simulacije“, gde sam mogla da vidim direktan uticaj i značajnost primene simulacija u okviru obrazovanja. Naime, studenti su iste izvodili u okviru prostorija koje su bile opremljene identično kao bolničke sobe, sa krevetima, trenažernim lutkama, potrošnim medicinskim materijalima i ostalom opremom. Studenti su u ovom procesu bili naučeni ne samo pravilnom načinu izvođenja medicinskih procedura, već su uz primenu lutki bili naučeni da se ponašaju prema njoj kao prema živom pacijentu, uz dozvolu da naprave grešku i da iz iste steknu iskustvo, dok se kraj predavanja koristi za debrifing, odnosno proces kojim se studenti koji su prošli kroz simulaciju promišljeno vode kroz diskusiju o tom iskustvu.“

ICEPS već praktikuje slične metode pri izvođenju kabinetske prakse, a metode i dobre prakse koje je Marija stekla prilikom svoje posete služiće kao nadogradnja našim metodama kako bismo nastavili da idemo u korak sa najmodernijim zemljama i metodama u obrazovanju, što će u budućnosti direktno uticati na znanje i veštine naših studenata, a samim tim i bezbednost pacijenata u zdravstvenim ustanovama gde oni budu vršili praksu i kasnije se zaposlili. Učenje zasnovano na simulaciji je važna obrazovna intervencija za poboljšanje učenja praktičnih veština i upravljanja kliničkim slučajevima u sigurnom okruženju.

Norveška je poznata po visokom standardu u okviru svih polja, a posebno u medicini, pa su shvatili da nije dovoljno da budući medicinski radnici uče o procesu simulacija samo tokom svojih trogodišnjih studija, već su isto preneli u okviru svojih bolnica, tako je Univerzitetska klinika Akershus prepoznala važnost izvođenja medicinskih simulacija i otvorila Centar za medicinske simulacije, u kojem obučava ne samo studente OsloMet škole, već i svoje zaposlene, kako bi povećali kvalitet pružanja zdravstvenih usluga i smanjili neželjene efekte.

Pored toga, Marija je u okviru svog boravka prisustvovala sastancima na kojima se diskutovalo o kvalitetu praktične nastave u okviru gerijatrijskog centra zajedno sa Markom Stojiljkovićem, Ann Kristin Bjørnnes, šeficom odseka Zdravstvene nege i promocije zdravlja, Elisabeth Sørbø Haug, koordinatorkom međunarodne saradnje i Ruud Knutsen, direktorkom instituta, gde je imala priliku da uvidi mnoge sličnosti između OsloMet-a i naše Škole, ali i prilike za razmenu iskustava i dobrih praksi.

Erazmus+ mobilnost osoblja Mariji je donela novu motivaciju za dalji rad, kao i nove ideje koje može implementirati u saradnji sa predavačima na ICEPS-u za rad sa studentima, ali i nove kontakte i mogućnosti za proširenje saradnje između ICEPS-a i OsloMet univerziteta. Erazmus+ mobilnost je bila prilika i za upoznavanje sa novom kulturom i razvijanje lingvističkih i interkulturalnih veština.

Our colleague, Marija Todorović, lecturer, Head of Student Services in the Novi Sad Unit, and the person responsible for training manikin, equipment and material procurement, as well as teaching staff support during classroom practice at ICEPS, had the opportunity to stay in Oslo, Norway, at the ICEPS partner institution, Oslo Metropolitan University, form the 3rd to the 9th of May 2024, on Erasmus+ staff mobility for training.

A big role in the realization of this mobility was played by Marko Stojiljković, an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, where Marija stayed, who visited us last year to share experiences in the use of training manikins in the education of future healthcare professionals, with special emphasis on future nurses and the development of Erasmus+ cooperation between these two institutions.

Through Marko’s mentorship and attendance of the “Simulation methods” course, Marija had the chance to gain insight into the state-of-the-art pedagogical methods in nursing education, which involve the use of training manikins and other equipment used for simulating real-life situations which students should solve independently, by using the knowledge and guidelines provided by the mentor.

“Attending the “Simulation methods” course provided me with a considerable experience, where I could see the direct impact and importance of simulation application in education. Namely, the students conducted the simulations in rooms identically equipped to hospital rooms, with beds, training manikins, disposable medical supplies, and other equipment. Through this process, students were not only trained in the correct method of performing medical procedures, but through the use of manikins they learned how to treat it as a live patient as well, with the permission to make a mistake and gain experience from it, while the end of the lesson was used for debriefing, i.e. the  process through which students who have gone through the simulation have a thoughtful discussion on the experience.”

ICEPS already has in place similar methods during classroom practice, and the methods and good practices which Marija gained during her visit will serve to enhance our methods, allowing us to keep pace with the most modern countries and methods in education. This will directly impact the knowledge and abilities of our students in the future, and in turn the safety of patients in healthcare facilities where they will undergo traineeship and later be employed. Simulation based learning is an important educational intervention for the improvement of practical skills learning and managing clinical cases in a safe environment.

Norway is famous for high standards in all fields, especially in medicine. Thus, they realized that it is not enough for future healthcare professionals to only learn about the simulation process during their three-year studies, and they implemented the same in their hospitals. That is how the Akershus University Hospital recognized the importance of performing medical simulations and opened the Center for Medical Simulations, where they not only train students from the OsloMet College, but their employees as well, so as to enhance the quality of healthcare provision and reduce adverse effects.

Furthermore, during her stay Marija attended meetings where discussions were held on the quality of practical training within the geriatric center, together with Marko Stojiljković, Ann Kristin Bjørnnes, Head of the Department of Nursing and Health Promotion, Elisabeth Sørbø Haug, International Cooperation Coordinator, and Ruud Knutsen, Institute Director, and where she had the opportunity to spot many similarities between OsloMet and our College, as well as the opportunity to share experiences and good practices.
